Welcome!

My name is Cory Birch and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey, National Certified Counselor through the NBCC, and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I provide tele-mental health counseling to adolescents and adults scheduled at a time that works for you. I have been providing psychotherapy for over a decade to a variety of demographics. I also supervise provisionally licensed therapists in their path to attaining full New Jersey state licensure.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey. Immediately following my bachelors program I began working towards my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Centenary College (now Centenary University) in Hackettstown, NJ.

During my graduate studies I worked as an intern in a Partial Care Program for clients diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness as well as providing individual psychotherapy to adults in an outpatient setting. For the last six years I have been working solely in an outpatient setting with a variety of diagnoses and struggles including, but not limited to:

  1. Autism Level 1 (formerly Asperger’s)
  2. Depression
  3. Anxiety
  4. ADHD
  5. BiPolar Disorder
  6. Trauma
  7. Grief
  8. Stress Related Struggles
  9. Self – Esteem Stuggles
  10. Work Related Stressors

In session I meet my clients where they are and my sessions are guided by client goals. I implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused therapeutic techniques to assist you in working towards and reaching your therapeutic goals.
